This website, managed by ESCO Books, is not formally affiliated with Great Hearts Academies. ESCO does provide a convenient and thus valuable service to families by bundling books from Great Hearts course syllabi and sending them directly to your home. However, families are not obligated to use ESCO's services and may secure books from other websites or from bookstores, based on what they find to be most convenient and cost-effective.
Great Hearts Academies hopes that virtually all students will purchase these consumable books and build a personal home library of the classics over the course of his or her tenure at the school. In addition, by paying for the books directly, your school can redirect its limited funds into the educational program. Since these consumable books are not meant to be returned to the school, your school respectfully requests that each family purchase them.
Though your Great Hearts academy (as a public school) can provide the "consumable" books at no cost, such books are on loan to students, will be loaned to them on an as-needed basis, and must be returned after their use in good condition. Failure to return these loaner books in good condition will cause the family to lose all or part of their book deposit. Please contact your school office by August 4th if you request that the "consumable" books should be loaned to your family and covered by a refundable book deposit.
